Transforming Development Through Ethical Enterprise

Adroit Business Group (ABG) is an apex social enterprise holding institution established to operate ethical, income-generating businesses while advancing inclusive economic development and social transformation.

We address persistent challenges facing developing economies—particularly Ethiopia—including youth and women unemployment, fragmented enterprises, limited access to skills and ethical capital, and overreliance on donor-driven development models.

Unlike conventional development initiatives, ABG integrates commercial discipline with social purpose. We incubate and operate market-driven enterprises that generate sustainable revenue while systematically reinvesting profits into social and economic development priorities.

Our Vision

To build a resilient and vibrant ecosystem of ethical enterprises that unlock human potential, empower communities, and create shared and sustainable prosperity and well-being.

Our Mission

To ethically generate income, nurture and scale small and emerging enterprises, and reinvest in human capital, skills development, food systems, child and youth development, and community infrastructure.

Core Values

Five foundational principles that guide our work and decision-making

Persistent Development Barriers

  • High youth and women unemployment despite strong productive potential
  • Fragmented and informal enterprises with limited growth capacity
  • Weak alignment between education, skills training, and labor-market demand
  • Limited access to ethical capital, professional services, and mentorship
  • Overreliance on donor funding without sustainable revenue mechanisms

Integrated Social Enterprise Model

  • Incubate and operate ethical, market-driven enterprises
  • Generate sustainable and diversified revenue streams
  • Reinvest profits into human capital and community development
  • Build resilient local enterprises and livelihoods
  • Replace dependency with resilience and local ownership
